Kasey Renee Shaw is a writer living in Ohio. She holds an MFA in creative nonfiction from West Virginia University (2022) and has been honored with numerous nominations for the Pushcart Prize, AWP Intro Awards, and Best of Net.

Shaw is completing her debut memoir, which weaves humor and personal narrative with explorations of Midwestern culture, liminal spaces, American folklore, and urban legends. The work examines themes of gender and sexual identity, familial trauma, domestic and sexual violence, and empowerment through reproductive justice.
